Naked Man Invades Tokyo

posted by Jacob in dreams come true, hero's journey, naked people, politics October 7th, 2008

So, I know the Debates were tonight - but as far as I’m concerned, the real news is that a naked, bald, Spaniard went for a dive at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and then got into a skirmish with Japanese officers.

But wait… there’s more:

Ben Folds + Tim & Eric

posted by Justin in animation, ben folds, music video, tim and eric October 5th, 2008

I’m a big Ben Folds fan, and a recent convert to the Tim & Eric style of comedy. So when I found out that Ben Folds released a new music video for his single, “You Don’t Know Me,” created by Tim & Eric, I was a very happy camper:

You Dont Know Me (featuring Regina Spektor)

UCBComedy likes our McCain short!

posted by Tremendosaur in UCB, internet, mccain postpones the debates, press October 3rd, 2008

That’s right, you can find our latest short, John McCain Postpones the Debates, on UCBcomedy.com’s front page under the “Stuff We Like” section.

You know, if Tremendosaur had a “Stuff We Like” section, UCB would be at the top of the list. Thanks, UCB!

Friends of the Family: The Great Burden

posted by Jacob in Alec Owen, Friends of the Family, Rosie O'Donnell, friends of tremendosaur, internet September 30th, 2008

Our good friend Alec Owen (with whom we enjoyed eating ridiculous things) just launched a new internet sketch video group.  They are called Friends of the Family, and my verdict is that they are delightful!

My favorite sketch of theirs is called “The Great Burden,” and is posted below for your viewing pleasure:

So rarely does a minute-long setup pay off this well.

Way to go, Friends of the Family! Welcome to the internet, where you will most certainly create many funny things!

Big Brown Beautiful Bear!

posted by Justin in bears, internet, onesie September 29th, 2008

If there’s one rule of comedy that every comedian can agree upon, it’s that bears are incredibly funny.

You want proof? Take a look at Big Brown Beautiful Bear from sketch comedy troupe, Onesie. I dare you  not to get the song stuck in your head:

When you’re done, take a look at Tremendosaur’s very own bear sketch. I can promise you now that it certainly won’t be the last…

Obama New Hope Poster

posted by Jacob in barack obama, behind the scenes, mccain postpones the debates, politics, the future September 27th, 2008

Thanks to everyone who’s been digging our McCain/Palpatine Short! We’ve gotten a number of requests about the poster at the end of the vid, so I thought I’d upload it here for your downloading pleasure.

Please use it wherever and whenever you like, as long as you attribute it to Tremendosaur.com!

A New Hope: Obama/Biden \'08

My favorite part is how it looks like Hillary is squinting to more accurately aim her blaster rifle.

Palin = Disney Character

posted by Justin in internet, politics, sarah palin September 26th, 2008

You know, with the number of jabs Sarah Palin is taking from the media, I almost feel bad for her…that is, I would feel bad for her if there wasn’t such a scarily distinct possibility that she could become our next president, despite being completely underqualified.

Luckily, she proves to be better comedic gold than (vice-) presidential material, and this College Humor video capitalizes on it perfectly:

Behind the Scenes of Oops! All Lansburys

posted by Justin in animation, behind the scenes, harry chaskin, oops! all lansburys September 16th, 2008

Angela Lansbury HeadEven though you just saw Oops! All Lansburys pop up on our site a week ago, we’ve been working on it for well over a year!

That’s right, I’ve personally spent hours poring over ‘getting the right creepy clown design’ and wondering ‘just how many Angela Lansbury corpses do we need in that shot?’

Under normal circumstances, you (the internet public), would never get to see the preliminary artwork…but we thought it might be cool to share some of the designs, sketches, and storyboards that our talented friends contributed!

Check it out after the jump!
