Wassup 2008

posted by Jacob in barack obama, crazy, politics, the future October 25th, 2008

Election time brings out some great internet videos, but this is by far one of my favorites:

Also, I’m fairly certain most of the cast is from the original Budweiser Commercial.

Naked Man Invades Tokyo

posted by Jacob in dreams come true, hero's journey, naked people, politics October 7th, 2008

So, I know the Debates were tonight - but as far as I’m concerned, the real news is that a naked, bald, Spaniard went for a dive at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and then got into a skirmish with Japanese officers.

But wait… there’s more:

Check out the full story at the Tokyo Times Blog .

Friends of the Family: The Great Burden

posted by Jacob in Alec Owen, Friends of the Family, Rosie O'Donnell, friends of tremendosaur, internet September 30th, 2008

Our good friend Alec Owen (with whom we enjoyed eating ridiculous things) just launched a new internet sketch video group.  They are called Friends of the Family, and my verdict is that they are delightful!

My favorite sketch of theirs is called “The Great Burden,” and is posted below for your viewing pleasure:

So rarely does a minute-long setup pay off this well.

Way to go, Friends of the Family! Welcome to the internet, where you will most certainly create many funny things!

Obama New Hope Poster

posted by Jacob in barack obama, behind the scenes, mccain postpones the debates, politics, the future September 27th, 2008

Thanks to everyone who’s been digging our McCain/Palpatine Short! We’ve gotten a number of requests about the poster at the end of the vid, so I thought I’d upload it here for your downloading pleasure.

Please use it wherever and whenever you like, as long as you attribute it to Tremendosaur.com!

A New Hope: Obama/Biden \'08

My favorite part is how it looks like Hillary is squinting to more accurately aim her blaster rifle.

Diddy Obama Blog! Diddy Obama Blog!

posted by Jacob in John McCain, barack obama, politics September 1st, 2008

Well, there certainly has been a lot going on since McCain surprised everyone and named Gov. Palin as his vice presidential nominee.

I’ve been having a hard time collecting my thoughts on how ridiculous a pick Gov. Palin is.  I’ve been glued to the news ever since news came out, trying to learn everything I can about this woman, and watching the trainwreck unfold.  It’s a lot to handle.  I could go on and on about what I’ve learned, after all - I’ve read what all the pundits have to say (both Democratic, and Republican), but our friend Clay just showed me the most accurate response of all.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the most accurate analysis of John McCain’s vice presidential choice of Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin:

You know it’s a serious issue, because Diddy can’t even keep spinning around the whole time.  Halfway through he has to stop spinning, because shit is too real.

Vote or die, guys.  Vote or die.

Jacob and Justin at SFIF

posted by Jacob in improv, second nature, shows July 16th, 2008

Jacob and Justin in SF

Next week, Justin and I will be heading to the San Francisco Improv Festival along with our old college troupe, Second Nature.

We’ll be doing three shows at the festival, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. That’s July 24th-26th. Each night, we’ll be performing an improv format called The Armando, which revolves around a guest monologist.

Our guest monologists are:

Thursday, July 24
Midori
(Sexuality Columnist and Fetishism Expert)

Friday, July 25
Andrew Leland
(Managing editor of The Believer)

Saturday, July 26
Daniel Handler
(aka Lemony Snicket, author of A Series of Unfortunate Events)

All three shows are at 8pm. Tickets are $20/each - but that gets you in to two shows (we’re sharing a 2 hr slot with San Francisco’s Un-Scripted Theatre).

If you’re in the Bay Area, you should TOTALLY check it out!

More info can be found on Second Nature’s website, or at sfimprovfestival.com

Crystal Skull vid featured on UCBcomedy.com

posted by Jacob in Crystal Skull, Holiday Rant, UCB, crackle, internet, shorts, the number 24, the office, the onion, video will May 29th, 2008

So check this out: the wonderful people over at UCBcomedy.com have seen fit to feature our video Tremendosaur and the Pitch Meeting of the Crystal Skull on their front page.

UCBcomedy is a great website where you can watch lots of videos from the UCB Theatre and its performers, and we’re honored to be featured by them! Thanks, UCB!

On another note, now that I’ve seen the actual film, this interview seems fairly plausible.
